There are a lot of reasons that someone would wear their mask in the car. It is possible that some are "virtue signaling" but it could be that you forgot to take it off, you just went to one store and are going to another and don't want to go to the hassle of taking it on and off. You are about to pick someone up that you feel you need to social distance from. You don't want to touch your face or the front of the mask, etc. It is awfully judgmental of someone to assume you are "virtue signaling" because you are wearing a mask in a place where they don't think it's necessary.

3. I ran into this issue today

Where I went to multiple stores and didn't want to touch my face so just left the mask on. Then I took it off when heading home, but then encountered a fast food drive through attendant and wished I had kept my mask on. They all had masks so it was marginally OK since I stayed in my car, but still.

I could care less if any MAGAts judge me for wearing a mask. They think I'm stealing jobs away from white Americans and should be deported somewhere anyway so I really don't care, do U? But it is good to be aware of how they think so I keep an eye on memes and videos like this, but avoid the really manipulative videos where some completely unqualified person is providing all sorts of false facts in a fake documentary format.

Exaggerating the extremes of what you hate is a common tactic. I do have neighbors who irritate me when they use their shoes to open doors because that endangers the rest of us. And who the hell are these people with N95 respirators with valves? Those are needed by people whose jobs depend on it, like hospital workers and first responders. The most liberal city in America, San Francisco, has banned valved masks.

10. I've been securing the top of my mask to my nose...

... with clear medical tape before I leave the house. I wear glasses, and that completely stops them from fogging. (Not to mention an improved seal at the top of the mask.)

So, yeah, I'm seen wearing a mask in my car too. The tape won't stick as well once it's removed.
