(22,062 posts)With a great sense of humor and a love for life. (I won't even mention his polar opposite and spoil the mood).
Love this man! Thanks a bunch for posting.

(4,079 posts)I didn't need this video to make me love Barack Obama. I didn't agree with every single thing he did as president, but I trusted him, and knew that everything he did was in the best interests of our country. #repealthe22nd

(1,639 posts)Seeing the video helps me to gain insight into what draws others to him.
There is a genuine light within that man. And to quote, John 3:20 , "Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed."
I am not a Bible believer and I don't mean to compare Obama with Jesus, but I take wisdom and discernment where I find it. There are many such lights in the world, and those who harbor dark, unkind, and selfish intentions hate them.
Greta Thunberg comes to mind. Certainly, the Mahatma Gandhi was one of them. Martin Luther King, Jr. and others who insist on speaking truth no matter how discomfiting it is to the powerful or willfully ignorant have all brought light into the world.
Most of humanity seeks light (or so I wish to believe), and certainly little children who have not been tainted with bitterness and cynicism head straight for it. We see that in so many images of Obama.
The man fairly radiates trust, decency and patience. Who could resist? Those who, at their core, are corrupt and lacking in true compassion can. It isn't just hate that fuels them, it is fear.

(16,926 posts)about how IQ45's claim that he is "so abused" - and the clip went on to show what Faux Spews used to do to PRESIDENT OBAMA.
Two pictures brought it to mind:
1. PRESIDENT OBAMA with the selfie-stick. Hannuty (yeah, that's how I meant to spell it!) and Newt were talking about how PRESIDENT OBAMA was disrespecting the Oval Office by clowning around with such a toy. Guess the visit and conversation with Kanye was the perfect model of decorum, huh?
2. PRESIDENT OBAMA was holding an outdoor press conference with a foreign leader and it started to rain. Two Marines immediately moved in with umbrellas to allow the conference to continue. Again, Faux Spews complained about having men trained in battle "just having to stand there and hold an umbrella - why couldn't he hold his own?" I'm thinking you saw the picture of PRESIDENT OBAMA soaked while delivering a speech........
GAWD, the hypocrisy and obnoxiousness of that whole gang is just enough to make me want to kick in the TV screen - but then again, I refuse to allow that channel on my TV!
And as for so many other pics in that video - can you even imagine IQ45 doing any of that?

(803 posts)that we had him to remember. I am like lunatica. Started out happy and ended up tearing up because of happy.
Most of us like to see good, kindness or love and President Obama showed us plenty of those along with other traits of a good leader and human being. Thank you for posting that.

(1,722 posts)To the point where I have had dreams that we were friends and met up for dinner. The Obamas were SO human, relatable, friendly, intelligent and real, we felt we knew them personally. Our President sang Amazing Grace (wish he didn't have to).

(383 posts)I hope everyone notices how he communicates with small ones; he either lowers himself to their level or raises them to his level. This is unique in most adults, especially with men. Damn. I miss my President.
