The Democratic presidential candidate and Vermont senator says he looks forward to sitting down with Clinton and discussing "what kind of platform she is going to support" going forward. Sanders states he is "...in it to the Convention"

So far they are the ones mostly holding hands with Hillary. It's difficult for a multimillionaire to think in terms of the middle class and working poor without being urged to and guided toward their agenda but it can be done so we need Bernie's influence and the populist movement to make sure their interests remain front and center. Put a ban on fracking and a transaction tax on wall street for a start.

I was a delegate to my state democrat convention yesterday. Bernie won the Democrats primary and we want him stay in until Philadelphia.

California has not finalized their ballot count yet and won't until July. I think they are expecting to be complete by July 3.

Anyone can be and he is regardless of your club membership. He had a choice...run as a democrat or an independent. He could have possibly won as an independent. He definitely would've had more votes than Hillary and she would've had 0% chance of winning. Perhaps you would've liked that better and keep your club credentials without any riff raff having to be associated with.

That Obama was in dire need of a shove in the direction of his promises from 2008.

I agree with that conclusion.

I believe that his decision to join the fray was based on principles and that he felt that the presidency should be earned, not inherited.

I don't think he's going to hand over his supporters like a war prize. He'll tell them to keep hold of their powder and wait to fight another day.

23. He said that in response to Obama putting a chain CPI on the table for SS cutting benefits

No real democrat would ever suggest such a thing. Bernie later walked it back and said it wasn't being 'literal' but was trying to demonstrate these are not democratic party principles. Maggie o above can only think in terms of the 'horse race' instead of what is being brought to the party and Bernie has always caucused with dems and is as much a member of the party as anyone working in its interests for more than forty years while also trying to maintain our core principles as they were being eroded by the DLC (Democratic Leadership Council) who began catering to the banks and wall street and wealthy donors to get money flowing into the party again as unions dwindled in response to deregulation and out sourcing of jobs due to trade policies. They allowed the lobbyists to invade the party with open arms. Clinton is one such leader of the DLC which is why Sanders wants to keep certain issues front and center all the way to the convention. Obama never was rude saying "Do the math...he lost...drop out...he's just angry or loves the crowds..all of which is insulting divisive and rude when just the opposite is true and that is what Obama told him and why he was congratulating him...which is what Hillary supporters of any worth should also be doing instead of petty vulgar tripe we often read here.
Congratulations Senator Sanders for showing such great courage talking truth to power and wealth. Thanks you for this. Your sincerity is inspiring.

I know you would like a private club to pay yourself on the back and say see how great we are but the fact is anyone can be. Democrat regardless of what else they do at the variance in how they identify. If not you and your privilege will endanger it. Bernie caucuses and votes as a democrat. Sorry you cannot handle that he calls himself a socialist, a socialist democrat or an independent but many, many more people on both sides call themselves independents because they couldn't stomach how their parties got hijacked. The republicans by religious fanatics and the democrats by corporations. Both parties looked very different 30 years ago. People are pissed about it obviously. I will say this. If you keep pointing out he's not a democrat then you look foolish. If he ran as an independent then Hillary would've been GUARANTEED a LOSS in the general election. It would've been a toss up between Bernie and the republican.
