wanted to do right by his country, he'd leave the senate, go find one of his multiple homes to reside in and spend the rest of his days running his "institute".
There was a time - decades ago - when this guy got respect from me. Any more, I just wish that he was still held in the Hanoi Hilton. Oh..... With Leiberman as his cell mate!

Just asking, because toward the end there was a moment where I almost fell off my chair at what McCain said.

I still don't like him (I'm with you on the no longer respect him) but there were a couple of moments when the old McCain reared his head, I think.

BS than I could take.

I like Biden a heck of alot better, but anymore - I watch these guys and marvel at how OUT OF TOUCH they are with the minions of this country. They're totally owned by the special interests - only pandering to us when it's election time.

Not only because I could listen to Joe for hours, but because it does harken back to a time when there was sanity in the Congress and progress was made.

Have to acknowledge McCain's voicing his displeasure at the Republicans who wouldn't let the gun issue come up for a debate.

And I almost fell off my chair when he said those who allowed torture to be used -- even though it's been proven it doesn't work -- need to be held accountable. Is it me, or didn't he sing a different tune when he was running for POTUS? I know he initially was against it, but the fell right into lockstep with the Republican propaganda. But again, have to give him credit for even bringing it up and coming back to the right side of the issue.

And I believe Joe when he says that yes, we need to acknowledge what we did. I wonder what else he would let come to light if he'd been the one chosen for our 44th.

Thank you for posting this -- the almost-hour flew by!
