Unfortunately, his government is still doing the bidding of the 1% and has adopted austerity.

Sad but very true!

I wonder how many of those people in the audience speak three languages and are as literate and well-educated as Pres. Higgins is?

Likely not that many is my thought!

In any event, I hope his speech will motivate others in the EU to move on!

when he said neoclassical economics should be discarded.

It seems governments know what to do. They're still too afraid of money to do it.
