Five of the amputee's are at Spaulding now:

Spaulding is the Boston area's premier rehabilitation hospital research and training center.

It is an excellent hospital, Cha. They will get the care they need. I know this for a fact. Recently a family member was there. It was another Boston Hospital that saved his life. Spaulding helped bring him back to life.

Here is a link to the story I posted earlier today. It's a sweet story. Sad that only the conspiracy theories about Boston are news.

http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2013/04/28/veterans-aid-boston-bombing-amputees/2117665/

"Life's not over," West said. Surviving a blast and losing a limb "is a traumatic event, but with hard work and rehab, they're going to get back to a normal life."

West, 27, an active-duty captain in the Marines, traveled to Boston with about a dozen other amputees who lost limbs in Iraq and Afghanistan to provide information and moral support to those injured in the attack.

The trip was paid for by the Semper Fi Fund, which helps critically injured servicemembers. The fund is raising money for Boston's survivors, especially amputees who now face months of rehabilitation and a lifetime of maintenance.

process.

Veterans who lost limbs in Iraq and Afghanistan traveled to Boston to provide information and moral support to those seriously injured in the bombings.

This is the real news and it's good!

Plus, the equipment needs to be maintained. West and his comrades get help with all of that from Semper Fi or other veteran support groups.

That's why the Semper Fi Fund is raising money for the Boston victims.

I've had family in and out of there and in their outpatient branches in the past several years.

They do great work. Some of the best rehab I've seen--they make use of every moment of every day.

The food is good too...!

However, the care is the best ever! I have nurses in my family that support the wholeheartly!

They will take care of the amputee's there.

Kudos to Spaulding!

9. If you are ever in a position where you must visit someone there

(and I've had a friend and two family members in there in recent years--one, as I said, in there now) do visit at the dinner hour, get your meal, and have dinner with your family member/friend. It's good for them, good for you--and the food really is good.

At Spaulding, in a lot of cases (stroke victims especially) they like having the person take meals with someone. They have to be watched if they have swallowing issues, and even after they "graduate" from "eating class," they think it's good for the patient to eat with company.

I visited a dear family member there, just six months ago. It was another hospital that saved their life. It was Spaulding that gave them back their life.

That they take care of the physical ailments and the emotional ones, like dining with family, it raises them even higher in my estimation!

Thanks MADem.

To Spaulding and Boston!

Staff is real nice, too.

If I ever needed intense rehab, either inpatient or out, that's where I'd go.
