with positive things to say about George W. Bush". The reality can come from those who aren't under any obligation to be "nice".

The spin heads talk on tv about the fact that he "made decisions" & he had the "courage" to make decisions & "they were presidential ones" -- the HUGE ones, for which Republicans are currently placing all the blame & responsibility for their disastrous outcomes on Obama -- but, Tv Audience, we don't want you give any thought to that.

One exhibit called Decisions Point Theater is interactive -- a choose-your-own-adventure-game-of-big-decisions that Dubya had to make:

-- Invade a country for no reason, or don't invade a country for no reason;

-- Celebrate John McCain's birthday while a deadly storm hits New Orleans or don't celebrate John McCain's birthday;

-- Torture people or don't torture people;

-- Deregulate & tax-cut the country into financial ruin or don't deregulate & tax-cut the country into financial ruin.

Lawrence Wilkerson said:

One of the things that Americans should take away from Dubya's bad decision making is the apathy & the general lack of knowledge about those decisions before they were made by the American people is a contributing factor, if not the overriding factor, to those decisions being made. So, if we continue to be as apathetic as we were during that time -- & I would submit we are now during Obama's tenure -- we are going to get more of this, not less.

As Chris said, there's no reason to overthink the Bush pResidency -- it was just as bad as you thought.

I would add the apathy of the media along with that.
