2008 G8 Summit flashback: GW Bush given the cold shoulder by fellow leaders.

Maybe it was because of this incident earlier in the day (from Mother Jones)

4. The Time George Bush Fist-Pumped About Making The Planet Worse

Because as Bush prepared to depart Japan on the last day of his final G8 summit, he "signed off with a defiant farewell over his refusal to accept global climate change targets," and reportedly told his fellow leaders, "Goodbye from the world's biggest polluter"—a dark joke that he followed by "punching the air while grinning widely, as the rest of those present including Gordon Brown and Nicolas Sarkozy looked on in shock."

When he stopped in front of Gordon Brown he said something and it was VERY obvious that Brown was not going to put his hand out.
Half the time shrub had his head down, looking for his mark to show where he had to stand.
He looked almost grateful to have found it, then assumed a very awkward looking stance.

Here the people who know him best are treating him like a radioactive impostor. A very revealing moment that I'm sure you'll never see at the Bush library.
