I used to live in Eugene OR where he lives and every year they have a Eugene Celebration
(not a very creative name I admit) but they have a big parade where 1/2 the town clowns
around for the other half. And in these parades often Peter would be walking behind a real
elephant, who would pop occasionally and he was carrying a shovel to pick it up and put it
in a wheelbarrow. A sweetheart of a guy. He's been in Congress for decades fighting the
good fight.
