Dr. King faced terrorists and rightwing extremists in his quest.
Terrorists back then came in white sheets with eye holes and mobs of people with hoses and torches wanting to burn him down.
One goes on in spite of that, hoping to rid the world of that.

I think many might not know the origin of the quote, it is not from a Paul Simon song and it does not say no retreat. It says love is better than hate. It says answer hate with an advance of love, not just to go on in spite of hate, but to respond to hate actively with love.
It is a very important quotation. So I gave it a proper citation.
