.... into a gun thing! Especially in the comment sections of the many sites covering Boston.

One commenter somewhere said: "They won't blame the bomb, but the people...." Yeah, blame the bomb! That's sane! He's trying to make a correlation between this and that "people kill people" gun nut meme. I suppose he would have a point if people had to make their own guns instead of being able to run down to the corner arsenal and buy a gun with no background checks. Or if you could buy a bomb at Walmart. But of course logic has nothing to do with the gun worship issue.

...this is without a doubt the most disgusting thing I've ever seen posted on DU. You don't like people who own guns, label them "gun nuts" then try to paint them as not giving a shit about dead children and their families? You're fucking sick, pure and simple. I'm so damn glad I never decided to donate again to this site.

Six Adults and 20 First graders, dead, and you have a problem with people that think being allowed to live are more important than your guns?
Me thinks you have your priorities mixed up. Go find a mirror and look long and hard at you have become.

i speak as a MADD victim activist and advocate following the death of my daughter at the hands of a drunk driver.

i only worry about their journey of grief being complicated further by the need to put their own feelings on the back burner as they attempt to do this work, not about their willingness to do what they can to possibly save one child and one family from having to endure what their families have and continue to endure.
