In this week’s Saturday Night Live cold open, the sketch series took aim at the compromise background check bill that the U.S. Senate voted to agree to begin debating talking about this week. Jay Pharo‘s President Obama introduced Bill Hader and Jason Sudeikis as Senators Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Pat Toomey (R-PA), who reluctantly proceeded to summarize the absurd degree to which the bill has already been watered down.
