(11,464 posts)My high school friend is Kid Rocks driver.......he was just here in Ohio a few weeks ago and offered many of us free tickets to attend his concert here in Ohio.
I wrote him back and told him.......no thanks I didn't care much for the rich kid. Pleanty of my highschool friends took him up on it though.
Sorry never a big fan of the silver spoon boy although he does have some talent.

(1,150 posts)is why Bob Seeger did a tour with him recently. They appeared in Fargo, ND together (my home), and I would have liked to have seen Seeger, but balked at the combo tour. Very weird.

I timed my arrival to miss his set, spending it milling about in the venue's concession area and beer garden. But I didn't make a clean escape: Bon Jovi invited him onstage for a song, which he couldn't pull off without his backup singers. What a stiff!

(18,619 posts)For some reason he can't believe republicans have helped brokers take more of his ticket money. If he really doesn't like that he could lower his own share and keep ticket prices the same.
I'm embarrassed for him.

(769 posts)About Kid Rock's being capable of embarrassment yet he is embarrassed by the Republicans. That quote on the picture sure are kinda of funny in some ways. Big kudos for Kid Rock to come out and being direct to the Republicans that he is ashamed of his own party. Now, he is looking to sell the concert tickets to the non-Republican voters and supporters.

(81,125 posts)Or go "Independent," which is the wuss-way fallback chosen by those who are too embarrassed to admit they're still republi-CONs.
Sorry to be such a hard-ass (it's how I woke up this morning, for some reason), but I just have NO patience for people like this.
FORCE YOUR PARTY TO WAKE UP AND SMELL THE 21st CENTURY COFFEE - OR LEAVE!!! Seems to me it's the latter approach that's the most realistic. Much of the republi-CON party clearly appears to be unredeemable at this point. Too many of them are dug in so stubbornly, clinging to their 13th Century belief systems (and I'm being generous here, 'cause many of 'em can be found in the 6th Century and even farther back - all the way to the freakin' Bronze Age) that they're simply no longer reachable.

(24 posts)Yeah, I've heard of Republicans being ashamed of their own party before. Some are so ashamed of the party they don't even like to call themselves Republican. They call themselves "LIBERTARIANS". But, of course, they still vote for Republicans.
