” For all his dictatorial megalomania, Gaddafi is a committed pan-African - a fierce defender of African unity. Libya was not in debt to international bankers. It did not borrow cash from the International Monetary Fund for any "structural adjustment". It used oil money for social services - including the Great Man Made River project, and investment/aid to sub-Saharan countries. Its independent central bank was not manipulated by the Western financial system. All in all a very bad example for the developing world.”

If you are curious about who really WON in Libya,
go browse the IMF website, and their plans for Libya and North Africa.

was killed,is now again on the road to being passed in both the transpacific and transatlantic trade agreements.

The powers that we fight against seem to be carrying out a planned and pretty overt coup (see also the plans (and acts, in Cyprus) to use depositor money to save banks, without going through any kind of accountability).

The global financial system went bankrupt in 2008. The criminal banksters went unpunished, and the social welfare state is under full frontal attack in the West in order to socialize the losses. Things are on a collision course.

There was nothing "new" to me in this book, as it's "just" a chapter of the Shock Doctrine, but the humanity of it touched me.
