(12,712 posts)we know that the Fortune 500 are very, very important. In fact, they are the reason things are the way they are.
Pigs with lipstick are still pigs even when they are actually wolves in pig suits pretending to be sheep ... or something like that.

To be honest with you I looked the other way on a lot of things because he was black, and I never imagined that a black man would be the one to sell us out...but here it is.

(12,882 posts)Although - for the wife and I - the frist term left NO doubts as to what we'd helped put in the Oval Office. My god..... go back and watch his '08 campaign rhetoric. He just flat LIED. If he DIDN'T lie, then somehow, someONE got to him from day one in the oval office. Likely it was corporate money, but whatever.
This time around, I voted for the lesser of evils. Sure, I had hopes - like everyone else - that we'd see a magical transformation. But.... here we are, and look what we've got. Barack Obama (D)eceiver.

(18,998 posts)He filled his cabinet and government with Wall Street and conservatives...but I deluded myself into thinking he was just trying to be bipartisan...looking back on it that was a laugh.
We are played for suckers because we love hope, and if given just a little of it we can delude ourselves into being chumps.

(12,882 posts)When he started to fill his cabinet, first term, I was dumbfounded by the choices. If they weren't Wall St. wonders, the were hand-me-downs from W! Hope and Change indeded.

(3,183 posts)I don't see any other way out of this. Republicans are out of the question and Democrats seem to be heading that way so what's left? I don't know I'm just frustrated with the whole mess.

(940 posts)for democrats? I can see the senate full of baggers just like the house.
I personally was done with Obama when he hired Rahm Emanuel and Howard Dean could not
get a janitors job in the Obamas white house.

(20,317 posts)We seriously need to kick the DLC/Third Way/New Democrats out of the party. Just don't vote for them. They are NOT even preferable to Republicans, as they can make attacks on liberal institutions that Republicans could never get away with.
And that's their goal-- to undermine traditional Democratic Party constituencies and make the party more attractive to big business donors.

(17,301 posts)So that in 2014, the Democratic base will be so disillusioned that they wont come out to vote and RepubliCONS will pick up more seats in congress.
Smart move if you were trying to get RepubliCONS elected.
