Slick, Paranoid Tea Party Video Aims for Violent Insurrection

Fear walks the land, and the Tea Party Patriots are here to package and sell it.
http://www.alternet.org/tea-party-and-right/slick-paranoid-tea-party-video-aims-violent-insurrection

. The video, a thinly veiled advertisement for violent insurrection from the “Tea Party Patriots" group, boasts professional acting and Hollywood production values. But underneath its bright, professional sheen lurk dark overtones of End Times paranoia that will resonate with millions of American fundamentalists. Its apocalyptic imagery is as ancient as Revelations, its glossy look as modern as a Revlon ad, and its near-subliminal barrage of rapid-cut imagery rings with the terror-fueled sermons of 1,000 preachers.

Who are the “Tea Party Patriots”? For a group that’s stoking fear of shadowy organizations, they’re pretty shadowy themselves. They refuse to disclose their funding sources. There’s a paranoid strain to their style, which extends to their co-founder who was forced to resign after being arrested for bringing firearms onto an airplane.

That paranoid style even extends to the Tea Party Patriots website. The site is closed to all non-members, and registration must be pre-approved by the group’s leaders.

This and more will be getting their voters ready for 2014.

What would happen if people weren't being fed this 24/7?

Would their entire game fail?

Thanks for posting it. Looks like the newest version of their 'Obsession,' 'EndGame.' etc.

It talks about how lucky the poor are to have cell phones and x-boxes.

What's so wrong if the rich have a new car and a vacation home or two when the poor have cable TV?

(their thoughts, not mine).

Hope I don't encounter these crazy nuts.
The continued division of the Republican Party
will be its downfall.

So, we work hard, pay our taxes, then in bad times our Democratically elected government gives us support from those tax dollars we paid in. But they look at it as if it's all free stuff from a nameless, faceless undemocratic government. But we voted them in (well some of them) and we paid our taxes for those services they claim are free. They are NOT free. We paid for them, we paid taxes, we supported the government with those taxes.

Why do these fools think that getting something back from our tax dollars is some giant evil?

The tax burden has shifted away from corporations (who frequently pay absolutely NOTHING) and the rich who have loopholes and tax havens to hide away their money. The only people paying taxes anymore are the middle class and poor. So, in exchange for our tax dollars, we get something back. What is so bad about that?

talks about.

"The government is going to do (fill in the blank) so they can control us"

When asked to explain he just repeats louder, SO THEY CAN CONTROL US!

He is the poster child for low information voter and civically ignorant.

But this is the silliest video I have ever seen. It comes from some paranoid fantasy that everyone depends on the government for assistance and that is not true at all. But in their delusional fantasy world led by beck and others they think this is how it is when in reality it is only a picture painted by some unhinged lunatic.

17. The easiest way to conquer an armed populace

Is to make them attack themselves.

This divide and conquer strategy might pay off for the 1% in more ways than one.

MAN! I hope I'm wrong.
