Man wounded after pulling gun in Utah police lobby
By BRADY MCCOMBS, Associated Press | April 29, 2013 | Updated: April 29, 2013 3:29pm

WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah (AP) — A man who told authorities months ago that he wanted to be killed by police entered a suburban Salt Lake City police station Monday and pointed a gun at an officer and a records clerk, prompting at least one other officer to open fire on him, wounding the man in the arm.

The shooting at about 8:30 a.m. in the heart of West Valley City disrupted the downtown morning commute, temporarily halting light-rail and bus service in the area. No officers were hurt.

James Ramsey Kammeyer, a registered sex offender, entered the police department's lobby alone and repeatedly asked an officer to come out from behind a partition, police Sgt. Jason Hauer said.

Kammeyer, 39, had his hands in his pockets and his behavior quickly raised suspicion, Hauer said.

Some people that wish to commit suicide can't do it to themselves, so they put someone else in the position of having to do it for them, in self-defense.

Interested to see how he got his gun. Being a felon.

He was already a convicted criminal.

I guess you didn't see this part of the original post. James Ramsey Kammeyer, a registered sex offender, entered the police department's lobby alone...

Involving corrupt narcotics cops, including a pair who shot and killed an unarmed alleged heroin user under circumstances that have yet to be explained, but that the FBI is now looking into. Google "Danielle Willard" to get started.
