Husker spring game star (7 year old make a wish) Jack Hoffman to meet with President Obama

Source: Omaha World Herald

It's been a big month for Jack Hoffman.

The 7-year-old, who is battling pediatric brain cancer, captured the attention of Husker fans and the nation when he ran for a 69-yard touchdown in the Nebraska spring game.

Video of his score went viral online, and ESPN was among the media outlets to tell his story.

Last week, the U.S. Senate honored Jack in a resolution designating Sept. 26, 2013, as “National Pediatric Brain Cancer Awareness Day."

FULL story at link.

originally aware of the happening or the video until a long time friend of mine- now resident in Tucson Arizona- e-mailed and recommended I look it up.Makes me also proud to be a Nebraska fan and more wishful than ever they'd kept the Bugeaters nickname. My friend had seen it on the news in Arizona. I've gotten him to routinely refer to Nebraska teams as the Bugeaters. What a nice break from the business of big time college football.
