GOP Congressman: Obama’s ‘Political Correctness’ On Islam Led To Boston Bombings

Source: Think Progress

Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) suggested on Friday that the was FBI unable to ask deceased Boston marathon bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev about Islam during its 2011 interview with him due to President Obama’s “political correctness,” thus allowing the bombing to take place.

Gohmert said on the House floor that the Obama administration has prevented intelligence officials from discussing Islam. “It was in that 9/11 commission report, before this administration took over and implemented political correctness,” he said, arguing the FBI’s training manuals were “systematically purged” in 2011 to conform to Obama’s worldview.

Obama’s whitewashing of Islam, Gohmert hinted, allowed the Tsarnaev brothers to slip through the fingers of the FBI and set off bombs in Boston:

GOHMERT: But what kind of interview must that have been of the guy who was going to blow off arms and legs and kill a child and who had dreams of killing so many more. What kind of interview must that have been when you can’t use the word jihad, you can’t talk about his Muslim faith? Did they even bring up Tamerlan’s Muslim faith in that interview? ... Is it any wonder that the FBI came away from their interviews and said, ‘We don’t find any problems?’ Well, I guess not. ... What kind of interviews must those have been when you can’t use the terms that let you get to the bottom of what may be a plot to kill people down the road? There’s no problem in the Justice Department, there is a problem with leadership that will not let them do their job. And it needs to change.

Not only is it lies it is unAmerican. Not only for Rep "Gomer" but others in the same place. Of course this happens frequently but nothing like today. What do they have an ethics committee for? This sort of language has the power to change opinion all over the world. He should be fined $5,000 each time he opens his mouth and the garbage flows out. Pundits are well known for this type of messaging but a representative of our country should shut his mouth about slandering not only our president but those who honor our president.

as to keep Bill Clinton from bagging Osama bin Laden. And it was a good thing that Bush did not anger Muslims by doing something to prevent the 9/11 Attacks in 2001.

Pray continue with your brilliant analysis Congressman!

How many trolls get elected to Congress? This guy, Bachmann - it's amazing that people whose full-time occupation is "saying stupid shit to wind up other people" get elected by anyone. If I were a Republican, I'd want a representative who actually worked to get Republican policies enacted, not a dumbfuck who embarrasses the party every time they open their mouth.

Sat Apr 27, 2013, 01:20 PM
Apr 2013

FBI: "So, we're wondering, we've heard that maybe you might be a 'bad guy', maybe planning to blow up a bunch of Americans ... is there any truth to this?"

Tamerlan: "This is nonsense, I love this country, I love America! Land of Opportunity!"

FBI (as Tamerlan hums The Star-Spangled Banner): "But what about, you know ... Islam? Jihad?"

Tamerlan (suddenly excited, he jumps up on his chair): "Oh, yeah ... ISLAM! GLORIOUS JIHAD!!! Allahu Akbar!!! Death (making throat-cutting motion with his thumb) to all American Infidels!"

FBI: "Oh, I see, yeah. So ... may we assume that you have a plan to terrorize the USA?

Tamerlan: "Yes, infidel scum, we do! In the Name of Allah, I am building bomb with my brother in the other room, it's to blow up Boston Marathon! Do you want to see the bomb, it's almost ready, in the other room ... you want to see? Come, I must show you!"

Gomer is trying to clue in the hacks at the FBI, you understand ... he knows that the words 'Islam' or 'Jihad' are like truth serum to 'these people' ... just need merely utter these words, and they become helpless to resist spilling their evil plots out to authorities.

For Armed G-Men to show up at people's doors and proceed to inquire as to what faith they adhere to.

Then, if the 'wrong' answer is given, they can then proceed to bug your phone and internet, follow you around, and otherwise violate your right to privacy.

That's not TOTALLY fucking Unconstitutional, and contrary to the Founders principles, or anything like that. In fact, it sounds like a SWELL idea, doesn't it?

If you support this kind of thing, GOMER, then I have to presume that aside from your precious 2nd Amendment, the Constitution is barely fit for TP as far as you're concerned. That sound about right?

What a tool ...
