Boston Marathon Suspect Has Been Moved To Prison from Hospital: Officials
Source: Reuters
(Reuters) - Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev has been moved to a prison at Fort Devens, Massachusetts, from the hospital where he had been held since his arrest by police a week ago, the U.S. Marshals Service said on Friday.
The 19-year-old ethnic Chechen, who was badly wounded in an overnight shootout last week with police hours after authorities released pictures of him and his older brother, also a suspect, had previously been held at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, where some of the victims were also being treated.

(14,691 posts)sounds like this place isn't too easy to get to- unlike Rikers Island here in NYC that you can take a city bus to.

(2,769 posts)It's a decommissioned old army base that is now called "Devens" in an attempt to market it as a town and attract business and residents.
The prison isn't maximum security:
The Federal Medical Center (FMC) Devens is an administrative facility housing male offenders requiring specialized or long-term medical or mental health care. FMC Devens also has a satellite camp housing minimum security male inmates.

(13,989 posts)the two suspects. They spent time transferring the explosives into the hijacked car, then drove back to it after they decided they missed their CD collection and transfered a few more things from their old car. Like they were getting ready for a 'road trip' !!
Just crazy.
