Laura Bush: New library not 'a monument' to her husband

Source: USA Today

Former first lady Laura Bush said Wednesday that her husband did not want his presidential library and museum "to be a monument to himself."

Instead, she said at a news conference on the eve of the dedication of the George W. Bush Presidential Center, it's a representation of life in the White House and the challenges the country faced during his eight years in office.

All five living presidents will attend Thursday's ceremony on the Southern Methodist University campus.

Laura Bush spoke in a replica of the White House Rose Garden —this one populated with Texas bluebonnets —outside a recreated Oval Office where visitors can have photos taken while sitting behind the desk.

OK, so where are:
- the "Bin Laden determined to strike in US" memo
- the November 2001 report that "found that Mr. Gore might have won if the courts had ordered a full statewide recount of all the rejected ballots."
-The Downing Street memos
-How Bush got free rides away from the Vietnam War courtesy of his daddy

I doubt any intelligent American will consider a library to be a monument to her husband. As a form of irony, sure. But monument? No.

That there are plenty of far-right radio hosts and prime time anchors called for the Conservatives' Hajj Pilgrimage to Bush's new library every years.

Its for conservatives to cement their own patriotism toward the worst administration in the modern history of America!

The only thing worthwhile that his library represents is an opportunity for researchers to find something incriminating which will land that MFer in front of a judge in The Hague.

to cynical political expediency at the service of profit for the wealthiest 1% of Americans while methodically fucking honest working people by treating them like fungible assets.

It's a monument to the exploitation of fear and panic so the commons can be stolen from the people who worked, fought and died for it.

It's a monument to craven and unthinking ignorance about how the world works and the creation of ideologies that are indistinguishable from tennis shoes.

It's a monument to the erosion of freedom, greed, hate, ignorance, fear, and cowardice.

It's a monument to the distrust of intellectualism and the cultural bankruptcy it causes.

It's a monument to everything that is wrong with modern culture, capitalism, and the worst the human race has to offer.

It's a monument to the one man who managed to synthesize all those bad qualities and project them on an unwitting public.

Fuck you now and forever George W. Bush.

Funded by anonymous donations, its purpose is to endlessly distort the truth of the failed Bush presidency, so that we will be fooled into voting for another asshole just like him.
