Maryland prison guards helped gangs smuggle drugs, fathered inmate's children

Source: RT News

Thirteen female Maryland prison guards have been indicted on charges that they assisted a powerful prison gang with a money-laundering and drug-trafficking scheme while the gang leaders sat behind bars.

The guards were charged by the Maryland US Attorney’s Office after the indictment was unsealed in federal court on Tuesday, according to the Washington Post. The guards are accused of smuggling cell phones, prescription pills and other contraband into Baltimore City Detention Center at the behest of Tavon White, the alleged leader of the Black Guerilla Family gang, or BGF.

White and six other inmates as well as five “outside suppliers” were also indicted. Prosecutors claimed White had sexual relations with at least four of the guards and had fathered five children with them since he was incarcerated in 2009 after an attempted murder conviction.

“Correctional officers were in bed with BGF inmates, in violation of the first principle of prison management,” US Attorney Rod J. Rosenstein told reporters. “Preventing prison corruption requires intensive screening at prison entrances and punishment for employees who consort with inmates or bring cell phones and drugs into correctional facilities.”

I just can't imagine making a baby while at work in a prison ewwww

Child support will be paid in Cigarettes.

Parent teacher Meetings will have to held using a closed circuit court TV

Daddy daughter day would picking out what to get from the prison vending machine.

And can you imagine all the crappy Mothers day gifts. Home made shanks, soap on a rope?

18. This is because it's deeply ingrained in our evolutionary 'psyche'

That the male of the species 'always wants sex', and that the female of the species is meant to be the 'arbiter' of whether or not sex takes place.

It's pretty much how every species in the world is, at least those sophisticated enough to be aware of an ability to 'choose'. And frankly, most species survival in this world DEPENDS on the process by which the females choose the fathers, based on perceived 'fitness' (and sometimes ability to provide).

It is 'the way it's supposed to be' ... and if it wasn't ... there'd probably be no higher forms of life on earth.

Thus, when confronted with a story like this, we subconsciously presume these ladies, even though they're in a position of authority, were doing the 'always-horny male' a 'favor' ... whereas if the sexes were reversed ... it would obviously be 'rape'.

Whether we consciously think about it or not, our 'biological heritage' influences how we view events such as this.

I hope I'm not (and certainly don't mean to be) saying something that's offensive to somebody here ... but chances are, somehow this will be viewed as 'bad to say' by someone here, so let me apologize if this is somehow an egregious observation to have thrown out there ...

I quickly "googled" the name and privatization and came up with some info on it being a juvenile detention center. I would love to research more yet I lack time. Anyone from the area able to add details? I will check back later.

If so, is the corporation that oversees this particular detention center maximizing profits by relying in part upon gangs to maintain order within the facility?

For the profit of the corporate owners, are the inmates running the place?

...this country truly has gone to hell in a hand-basket. Every single day it's something. Today it was a hospital in effing Iowa flying sick Mexicans back to Mexico, unbeknownst to anyone. And yesterday it was Nevada Mental Health shipping patients all over the country to different cities. Now this in the Maryland prison. Last week it was the fertilizer explosion in West, TX and the losers blowing up the Boston Marathon.
Before that it was the pipeline burst down in Arkansas. Our society is imploding upon itself.

with men, and I'm just too old and don't get out enough, except with other stick-in-the-mud old foggies to hear about the latest sociological trends of the last 3 decades or so. I thought maybe it was something LGBT, particularly Transgender thing that I've missed hearing about. (After all, it wasn't so long ago that when people talked about "gay marriage" that I learned that it meant something other than "happy marriage"; I kept wondering why people were opposed to people being happily married )

It reminds me of the 1984 movie Amadeus (about Mozart) where the opera performers were upset about some regulation that the emperor had imposed, so, during a performance which the emperor attended, the performers danced and pranced on the stage without any music or other sound. The emperor asks the person sitting next to him, "Is it modern"? I can't find a YouTube clip, but here is the 3 word sound clip: http://www.hark.com/clips/rzsmxxmmqc-is-it-modern

Anyway, I felt like the baffled emperor when I read the title and article. Now that I understand that it's a "DU thing", I feel so much better

Is that a word, 'mothered'? One would assume so, but I've never heard it used.

Perhaps an intentional 'misprint', thinking it would be more salacious-sounding to potential readers if they were led to believe that the guards were men and the inmates women?

I put nothing past the Corporate Media these days.
