Bombing suspect’s condition reportedly improving

Source: AP/Salon

BOSTON (AP) — Federal officials say the Boston Marathon bombing suspect’s medical condition has improved.

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev (joh-KHAHR’ tsahr-NEYE’-ehv) had been listed in serious condition at a Boston hospital since he was captured Friday. On Tuesday, the U.S. attorney’s office said his condition had been upgraded to fair.

The 19-year-old was wounded in a shootout with police and suffered gunshot wounds in the head, neck, legs and hand.

Tsarnaev was charged Monday in the twin bombings that killed three people and wounded more than 260. His older brother, Tamerlan Tsarnaev, was killed during the shootout.

(and New York). They had their pick of world class hospitals and I love they chose Beth Israel.

At least 5 die in Arizona car crash during Border Patrol pursuit

TUCSON, Ariz. -- At least five people were killed and more than a dozen hurt when an SUV crashed while it was being chased by the Border Patrol, authorities said Sunday.

Pima County Rural/Metro Fire Chief Willie Treatch said the midsize SUV was carrying 22 passengers, but U.S. Customs and Border Protection said 18 were aboard.

Treatch said five people died at the scene and 17 were rushed to the hospital, some by helicopter.

The incident happened about 11 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of Interstate 10 and State Highway 83 in Vail, Ariz., officials said.

You will please note that they were not left to expire in the desert no matter how bad our health care system is.

They were also rushed and choppered to the same trauma center that treated the victims in the Giffords shooting.

But don't worry about the medical bills, the State of Arizona will pay.

Both Govenors Janet Napolitano and Jan Brewer have tried to bill both the United States and Mexican Governments to no avail.

Guatemala did kick in a few bucks are while ago though.
