Official: FBI interviewed older suspect in 2011

Source: WASHINGTON AP

WASHINGTON — A federal law enforcement official says the FBI interviewed the older Boston Marathon bombing suspect at the request of a foreign government in 2011 and that nothing derogatory was found.

The official says the FBI shared its information with the foreign government. The official did not say what country made the request about Tamerlan Tsarnaev or why.

The 26-year-old was killed overnight in a shootout with police outside Boston; his younger brother remains at large.

The official spoke on the condition of anonymity because the person was not authorized to speak about the case publicly.

... that at some point during the shootout the younger brother tried to escape in a vehicle and ran over his brother. That might explain the gaping wound, if those photos are genuine.

The information that the older brother did not die until he reached the hospital could be powerful leverage in future conversations with the younger brother, should he survive. He may not yet know that it might well have been he who killed his own brother.

What a terrible tragedy, again turning--as always--around a lack of empathy for others. Funny how God always does his most visible work through sociopaths.

That Alex Jones and his merry band of whack-a-doodle Freeptards are already conjuring up in their addled brains ... I can hear it already ... "That's when they started controlling them and brainwashing them to perform this act of terror, so they could take away our civil liberties in the name of national security!"

Nevermind all the crap that * and the GOP Congress did after 9/11 (including the Patriot Act, illegal wireless surveillance, copious amounts of torture, the stripping of habeus corpus rights via the Military Commissions Act ... oh, and waging a illegal war and occupation based on known lies), that all us liberals raised the red flag about.

When we tried to point out the same shit, based on MUCH more tangible evidence, we got called 'unpatriotic', 'treasonous', and every other name in the book by these very same flag-waving, gun-toting dipshits ... Now that 'their guy' ain't in charge, they are hollering all the exact same stuff that we did for 7 friggin years.

The Powers That Be sure do a great job at with the 'divide and conquer' strategy, don't they?

So, before you even start up your nonsense, Freeptards ... do you remember http://usgovinfo.about.com/od/rightsandfreedoms/a/habeuscorpus.htm

Do you remember arguing with liberals on the interwebs, down-playing it, calling the people you were arguing with 'traitors' and the like?

Wake me up when Obama ACTUALLY takes away our Constitutional Rights in the name of 'National Security' in a manner that remotely approaches what YOUR GUY did, repeatedly (and that you buffed his knob for like one of Pavlov's slobbering dogs at the time it happened) from 9/12/2001 - the day he left office.

I can't even find the words to describe it. Apparently the parents have been sucked into this delusion as well. The uncle sounds like the only sane sole among them. I thought what he said on TV was pretty ballsy. Hats off to him.

Given victims are in the hospital and suffering. She is being given a "platform" to try to under mind the justice system much like the one taken by George Zimmerman and his family. Not only that she's doing it on a foreign TV station. It goes to show how little credit RT deserves.

Then they reenter the USA and the visa is extended. I also read both tried for citizenship, the younger brother got his American citizenship in 2012? the older was refused due to a domestic violence charge? I put the ? mark because I'm not sure of the details.

When people are out of America they are exposed to all the criminal element of their home country. Russia has extremely violent terorist groups. The brothers father in russia was involved with violence from the KBG? I think theres a lot to check out with the big fat red flag when a country warns American FBI about a person with a visa. Especiallly a person who tries for citizenship, is refused and then knows they will always be a person without a country.

keep throwing a visaed person into the den of terrorism untill something sticks? The family did mention, the older brother was questioned by the FBI? several times over the years.
Makes me wonder how many of Americas visa residents, who have to go home and reenter every so often are under the control of the FBI. that really scares me.

I know a few people with long term visas, who have to go home every year or so, reenter and update the visa to be legal. They want to live in the USA, their home countries are not safe.

I think this requirement of our visa system needs a serious change. Some authorities may be grabbing hold of persons who are refused citizenship and using them in their hunt for terrorism. growing terrorists.

Sat Apr 20, 2013, 12:57 PM
Apr 2013

I noticed that in the day after, when various authorities were questioned about whether or not they knew anything beforehand, all of them seemed to be reading from the same script, wherein there was a modifier before the word 'evidence' ...

I cannot recall offhand what the exact word was, but just to give an example of what I mean, imagine that every official interviewed had said "There was no 'credible' evidence of a threat", or "There was no 'actionable' intelligence" ... that sort-of thing, but neither of those were the actual words.

It kinda reminded me of the way Condi tried to weasel her way out of admitting that the Bushies actually had a metric shit-ton of warnings that 9/11 was about to occur.

However, at least it appears that the authorities in THIS case ... actually tried to DO SOMETHING in response to the intel, rather than, you know, headin' on down to ranch to clear scrub for a month ... meanwhile the system was 'blinking red' and the CIA chief's hair was "on-fire" with worry that we were about to suffer a major attack from OBL's gang.

I'm not arguing that I'm sure it's the case, far from it ... only that I'm a little suspicious based on the wording used at the time.

Also, I don't think ANY intelligence agency is going to say outright, the day after something like this happens, "oh, yeah ... we had all kinds of warnings, we just thought we had it under control ... OOPS, sorry everyone!" That shit ain't NEVER gonna happen ... no matter who is POTUS.

are civil with people, go out on dates, associate with people where they act like 'friends' but they don't consider them close friends. He for some reason said under a sport picture, he "had no friends". Something changed in his life over the past 5ish years. Maybe the extended trips (american visas require trips home) to Russia had something to do with that attitude change.

I do NOT think the marathon had extra security at all and I'm not going to watch any conspiracy vids.

Though I do wonder why the family said- he had several interviews with the FBI? and as it was reported, "some country gave the FBI/CIA (not sure of exact details) his name as a person of interest.

The security did no good at all anyway. If you look at the vid before the bomb went off a line of police eight of them? standing facing away from the bomb.

They were watching the race instead of watching the people.

That there was MORE security than at any event he had ever attended in the WORLD ... on the roof, bomb sniffing dogs, and announcements they were having a drill ... Boston had a a police bomb drill the same day across the street from the library so they also, coincidentally, had technicians on-hand on a day when all the schools were closed and the streets are full of people ... they pick Patriots Day for a drill ... ??? ... made me question if they indeed weren't expecting an event as the coach wondered in the interview ...

and it's plain to me that there are THREE people in the security video ... two brothers and one girl in a yellow jacket all walking in sequence and her backpack matches the older brother ...

I'd listen to their Uncle ... he thinks there is more to this too ...
