Truck causes brief evacuation, bomb scare in Oklahoma City
Source: CNN
A suspicious U-Haul truck parked near City Hall triggered a brief bomb scare Wednesday in Oklahoma City.
Officials evacuated City Hall and another nearby building as a bomb squad searched the unattended vehicle, which was reported stolen, CNN affiliate KOCO reported.
Shortly afterward, police said the truck was empty and that there was no threat.
The incident took place two days after a double bombing at the Boston Marathon killed three people and wounded more than 180, and two days before the anniversary of the 1995 deadly Oklahoma City bombing that killed 168 people.

(1,231 posts)Or are we appropriately cautious? The airport security stuff involving taking shoes off and going through the make-ya-nekkid machine and these Chicken Little panics make me wonder if we look like candy asses to the people in countries where they have many more terrorist incidents.
Opinions, please.
