In Venezuela, Four Dead in Post-Election Violence

Four people have died since Sunday night in post-election protests across Venezuela, the state news agency AVN said Tuesday. The government is tying the deaths to violence against a number of offices, including health clinics, food distribution centers, a bank and a preschool program.
Capriles to Maduro: 'You are the loser' Election authorities on Monday proclaimed Hugo Chavez's handpicked successor Venezuela's president-elect despite his challenger's demand for a recount. Nicolas Maduro secured 50.8% of votes in Sunday's election, while opposition candidate Henrique Capriles Radonski won 49%, Venezuela's National Electoral Council said.
Diosdado Cabello, president of Venezuela's National Assembly and a longtime aide of the late Chavez, blamed Capriles and called for a criminal investigation. He made the remarks in Twitter messages.
"Fascist Capriles, I will personally see that you pay for all of the damage that you're doing to our homeland and our people," Cabello said. "They chased after doctors, burned dwellings, you caused all of this, Capriles, you irresponsible one"

I think these are related to calls for a recount. The government has said "No way."
