(36,437 posts)Most women I see in downtown Chicago have a purse and some kind of tote bag. At a marathon, or other event (a concert) your friend might ask you to hold a bag while they do something, etc. Lots of explanations for having two bags. One of those explanations is that you have bombs in those bags, and you're going to place those into garbage cans and walk away. But there are certainly lots of other explanations as well.

(36,437 posts)Between a big rock festival (Coachella, Lalapalooza) and a major marathon, it's a tough call for which kind of event two bags wouldn't actually seem suspicious at all.

In sum, horse shit.

(16,174 posts)of the Sandy Hook remembrance? How come they aren't talking about the "possibility of someone sympathetic to the NRA" as a suspect? It could have been the Saudi, it could have been a gun nut, it could have been many things. But they have to mention a Saudi.

(12,296 posts).... I'd have stashed them in garbage cans THE DAY PRIOR, and in something as innocuous as a fast-food takeout bag. Why the hell would they risk being caught on camera, or delayed, or whatever, the DAY OF , knowing security and media would be all over the place?

(101,295 posts)Even if they don't normally, they might well do that with the ones close to the route, especially the finish, so that they're empty at the start of such a busy day.

(12,296 posts)... what time the garbage trucks come thru. Easy enough to walk by 10 minutes later & drop your 'garbage' into the bin, no?
muriel_volestrangler
(101,295 posts)If they do have a special schedule for the marathon, you'd have to plan it a year in advance. And we don't know what time of day this surveillance video is from. Maybe it was from earlier in the day.

(5,029 posts)according to news reports. Any suspicious packages would probably have been found.
During the race, however, thousands of people are carrying bags, some of them carrying multiple bags, so it would be easy to go unnoticed.
Hopefully the security videos and the videos by people attending the events will give us more of a clue.

(50,832 posts)Investigators need to get timelines for everything imo. Like when containers are emptied. When were barricades put up for the marathon. Who all were involved in the event preparation. etc.

(718 posts)consider all possibilities. We may never know for sure what happened...just like 911, JFK, Pearl Harbor. They only tell us what they want us to know...there may be a myriad of nuances or complete fabrications. The Corporate Media has it's own agenda and the Truth may not fit the criteria.
