Rick Santorum cancels Iowa events Monday due to illness

Source: Des Moines Register

Republican Rick Santorum has canceled his appearances at two Iowa fundraisers tomorrow due to illness.

A spokeswoman said Santorum, while traveling in South Carolina on Saturday, “became ill and was admitted to the hospital for a gastro-intestinal illness and dehydration.”

“He is feeling better today but remains in the hospital and is unable to travel to Iowa on Monday, April 15 for previously scheduled events,” spokeswoman Virginia Davis said. “He is expected to resume a full schedule later this week and looks forward to returning to Iowa soon.”

Santorum, a possible 2016 presidential candidate, was to be at a noon fundraiser for stem cell research. The John Paul II Medical Research Institute’s “Give Cures” event starts at noon on Monday. It will take place at the Capitol Room, at 315 E. 5th St. in Des Moines

I really don't agree with his positions and hope he is never, ever near the White House, but if the guy is ill and required a trip to the hospital. I see no need to bash him.

and a speedy recovery.

Until he is back spewing his usual BS, I will have to rely on stand-up comics and late-night TV hosts for comic relief - and none of them make me laugh as much as Rick does.

Here's hoping Rick's intestinal flora is rebalanced toward a
normal bacterial population.

He just doesn't look like a guy who eats enough veggies
and complex carbs.

I thought prayer cured everything & Science is the Devil. Oh wait, that's only for their followers, not them.

And how's that Socialized Health Care workin' out for ya, Ricky?
