N.Korea 'Planning Fresh Missile Test Soon'

Source: The Chosunilbo

North Korea notified foreign diplomats from several countries of its plan to launch a missile over Japan toward the Pacific Ocean around Wednesday, the Sankei Shimbun reported citing informed sources.

The North on Friday urged foreign embassies to evacuate their missions in Pyongyang, saying it cannot guarantee the safety of staff.

South Korea believes the North may test a Mudusan-type missile with a range of 3,000 to 4,000 km as early as Tuesday, given that communication on the east coast has been on the increase.

Considering the disasters some of their test have been, that may be a possibility.

Their December 2012 success with a long range missile came after 4 straight failures.

If MiniMe wants to bluff the US, he'd better think twice. He's not holding a good hand!

Will we try to pressure/persuade japan to sit there without responding while North Korea shoots a missile through their airspace? Would Japan acquiesce?

The DPRK launching a missile is like a croupier spinning a roulette wheel. The DPRK has as much success launching missiles as they do testing nuke weapons... in other words... none.

Why anybody would pay any attention to this juvenile delinquent, bloviating so-called head of state is beyond me.

lead to an escalating war nobody is ready for. There's probably almost 100% chance of this 28-year-old trying to impress his country and the military with a sneak attack on SK, sooner or later, just like his dad and grandfather. Second, we don't know for sure what they're capable of, nuclear weapon wise, or what they intend to do with it. They might be somewhat rational, or they might be totally fucking nutz.

It could turn into a real screw job. But hardly anybody is taking the DPRK seriously.

First, they are lying about their capabilities. They not only do not have a reliable missile, they do not have a nuclear weapon. Their missile tests have been poor, but their nuclear weapon tests have been zero, not one has stood scientific overview.

The rest is mere bloviating by a tin plated dictator. The Kim Jong-un regime is like a Baghdad Bob, only with less credibility.

At conventional warfare, the US is lightyears ahead of everybody else in the world (let alone North Korea). We would obliterate them if provoked into a war.

(BBC) South Korea raises surveillance alert level

South Korea has raised its surveillance alert level amid indications that North Korea is preparing for a medium-range missile test.

At least one previously untested missile with a 3,000km (2,000-mile) range is fuelled and ready for launch, US and South Korean sources say.

Pyongyang has been making bellicose threats against South Korea, Japan and US bases in the region. It had warned foreigners in South Korea to take precautions in case of war.

North Korea is believed to have completed preparations for a missile launch after it moved two Musudan missiles to its east coast, Yonhap news agency says.
