Thirteen dead in Serbia gun rampage
Source: BBC
Thirteen people have been killed in Serbia after a man went on a gun rampage in a village near Belgrade, local media report.
Six men, six women and a two-year-old child died before the gunman tried to kill himself and his wife. The pair are now said to be in a serious condition.
The gunman is reported to be 60 years old and was named only as "Ljubisa B".
...
Local residents said the gunman killed his son before leaving the house and shooting dead neighbours, some of whom were still asleep in their homes, the Associated Press reported.

but of course, you *now* support mandatory background checks.
you just like to post how they don't work.
clever, clever!
hack89
(39,171 posts)we have a very low rate of gun violence.
It is just that some think that mass killing will be completely eliminated if we pass the right laws. And then there are those like Senator Feinstein that are pushing laws that will keep mass killings close to their present levels. I figure some facts will never hurt.

CreekDog
(46,192 posts)your only example of this straw man is something, not even a quote, that doesn't even say what you initially claimed was being argued here.
wow.
how bankrupt and in bad faith are your arguments here.
if you are were trying to convince people that what you were posting is all BS and shouldn't be believed, there is no better way than doing as you are doing.

you don't even believe what you're saying, you're engaging in propaganda because doing so advances the interest you represent. doing it factually is not possible, so you don't worry about that.

you don't like us or what we stand for as a community, that's why it's funny to accuse us of things which you never intend to prove or even worry about being true.

CreekDog
(46,192 posts)it's that you know what you said about DUers isn't true and you said it anyway and when asked to prove it, you won't.

(46,192 posts)are you saying that statement is as unreliable as the statement that started our argument in this thread, remember the one where you said DUers said that gun regulations would eliminate all mass shootings, then when asked for a link or a quote of someone who said that you could not provide it?
maybe you forgot, that was HOURS ago.
as for me and bongbong, you observe that we post alike, so here is a list of 20 of mine and their most recent OP's, we are obviously completely alike in every way. You are trying too hard here.
CreekDog
(46,192 posts)while i was always very careful about the terminology i used because i felt those who had family members or themselves experienced mental illness should not be made fun of or lumped in with mass murderers in order to win an argument at DU.
so i have an issue with what you're saying here.
secondly, i post on environmental issues, they didn't/don't.
basically you're lumping me in because we both supported gun control and that's basically all you got. our styles are different, our interests were different, they got themselves banned because they couldn't control themselves.
and i am not that way.
but we're the same, or something, or whatever.
CreekDog
(46,192 posts)you said i post in the same style when it comes to guns.
i looked into it and bongbong was PPR'd for using a racially insensitive term in a thread about guns, then refusing to apologize, telling people to take up their offense with Quentin Tarantino.
since you say on the subject of guns, that me and bongbong posted similarly, are you saying that i post racially insensitive things that use offensive terms like bongbong did?
is that what you're saying? is that really what you are saying?
please find in my history where i used a racially insensitive term with respect to African Americans or any people of color to win an argument.
again, you've said that we have the same "style" of posting and that's what bongbong did, so put up or shut up.

so don't act like I'm asking you an unreasonable question.
the other thing is not to mistake sensitivity --you can't hurt my feelings, for what this really is...not letting you get away with false statements as a way to oppose gun control. that you mistake that for "sensitivity" is disappointing but not surprising.

(39,171 posts)I support universal background checks, limits on magazine size plus all of the president's executive orders. The only things I don't support is the AWB and registration.
I live in a state with some of the strictest gun control laws in America - we have had universal background checks for quite awhile. All of my representatives in DC support gun control and I voted for them.
We have more in common then you would imagine.
