WASHINGTON (AP) — A Florida man is under arrest after police say he brought unregistered guns and ammunition onto the grounds of the U.S. Capitol Building.

U.S. Capitol Police say 59-year-old Ty Carroll Mitchum of Clearwater, Fla., was arrested after officers encountered him outside the building Sunday afternoon and searched his car.

Police say Mitchum told officers that he had guns in his car, which was parked near the Capitol. Police say officers searching the car found three firearms and several rounds of ammunition.

Mitchum, who was taken to Capitol Police headquarters for processing, has been charged with possession of an unregistered firearm and ammunition.

Remember the NRA spiel about how 'Obama has secret service with guns for his girls but won't let you have them?'

Boehner has the capitol police to protect him, but the GOP wants gunz in every state house, school and outhouse - why would he object?

Is it possible that a little bit of regulation to protect Boehner's old hide is a good thing, now? Uh, Mr. Boehner? Uh, uh?

Really, after all we've had to listen to:

Let everyone else pay for the lax gun laws with their lives, as long as Congress is protected by 24/7 security forces for four square blocks around the Capitol and Congressional office bldgs.
