Two different hairstylists at the same Great Clips Hair Salon in Springfield, Missouri, have tested positive for COVID-19. It has been determined that now nearly 140 clients have been exposed to the virus, according to Today.

In the state of Missouri, hair salons are permitted to open but only under special conditions. Most importantly, social distancing must still be practiced as much as possible in order to keep customers and employees safe. Both of the hair stylists that tested positive at this particular hair salon, as well as their clients, have been wearing face masks since the location re-opened.

One of the two hair stylists that tested positive for COVID-19 worked for a total of eight days. Throughout this time, they showed symptoms of the coronavirus. Over the course of the eight days, the hair stylist exposed 91 people to the virus, with seven individuals being fellow employees and 84 individuals being customers that came in to get their hair cut.

The second stylist that tested positive for COVID-19 worked a total of only five days and reportedly presented only “very mild symptoms.” Nevertheless, it has been confirmed that 56 additional clients were “potentially directly exposed” because they had been in the salon with the stylist.

My sister and her husband went to church today, just like I figured a couple days ago. I had sent her texts about infections spreading in churches, hoping to detract such notions... but nope, it didn't work.

At least they sat in the very back, away from everybody else. They also wore their masks.

According to her, NOBODY else in the entire church wore masks and they were not social-distancing.

Oh, well. Might as well accept the new waves of infections.

It gets long...who cares. It gets a little longer I can start French braiding it again. I was overdue for a cut when this started.

Going on 5 months now.

My hair's a tangled birds nest without regular trims but I'm not putting my life at risk for vanity. I've been putting it up in a ponytail or a bun.

Plus it was cut in layers so I am forced to using clips and combs to get it off my face. It doesn't look that bad...not that I get out much, only for essential things. Lol~ masks are mandatory here so it's not like anyone knows who I am and loving not to have to wear makeup.

We work sick. Mild symptoms can be one of many things that we are expected to work with such as colds and allergies. What symptoms? Aches and pains? Most places demand you work unless you're in the hospital on life-support. These places should not be open at all. We must learn everything thing the hard way though.

Maybe not in the white-collar world. With a terrible safety-net and inadequate labor laws these stories are just going to keep coming.
