4 Killed, Including Gunman, In San Francisco UPS Warehouse Shooting

AN FRANCISCO (AP) A UPS employee opened fire at a San Francisco package delivery facility on Wednesday, killing three employees and then himself as officers closed in, police and the company said.
San Francisco assistant police chief Toney Chaplin said a news conference that two others were wounded in the shooting that prompted a massive police response in downtown San Francisco.
Police have not determined a motive. Chaplin said that the shooter was armed with an assault pistol and put the weapon to his head and pulled the trigger when police found him.

(3,425 posts)this horrendous act would have had a little more attention. There has to be some lesson learned about how two violent acts, committed on the same day were reported. One incident had several fatalities and many injured while the other, thankfully, has many people hospitalized but not fatalities. Guess which one got wall to wall coverage all day. Yes, it was the (probably) paid up members of the NRA and no fatalities.
