Notorious ‘Nightstalker’ May Not Have Act Alone In At Least 1 Killing

Source: CBS Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Richard Ramirez was one of the nation’s most prolific serial killers.

Dubbed the “Nightstalker,” he was ultimately convicted in 13 murders after terrorizing Los Angeles and San Francisco from April of 1984 until August of 1985.

But Monday, more than 30 years after the last murder, San Francisco’s police chief says there is evidence which suggests that, in at least one killing, Ramirez may not have been acting alone.

Chief Greg Suhr says a handkerchief was found near one of the murder scenes containing the bodily fluids of Ramirez and another man, as well as the blood of the victim.

was attacking houses of a certain color. Pretty strange, but it scared the hell out of me.
There was so much mystery about what was going on.

I remember the news saying they thought he would break into houses during the day, and find a place to hide until night. Scary stuff the media was spreading.

I just read that a 13 year old boy turned in a partial license plate number after seeing Ramirez ("a creepy looking guy" the kid said) driving around his neighborhood. He ended up killing that night in his neighborhood. The police found the car in southern California and actually found a fingerprint on a mirror (I guess he'd been careful about not leaving them), and traced the prints back to an arrest in Texas. Ramirez's photo was in all the papers after that. Hurray for that 13 year old!

I was in line at Ralph's when they announced over the intercom that he was captured. The whole store cheered.

Ramirez broke into their home and bludgeoned him asleep in bed with his girlfriend. It was considered unsliced but the girlfriend said she recognized Ramirez from his pig turned on tv.

At his trial. One alternate juror even left her husband and children, earned a PI license, just to spend time with him in prison --much to the chagrin of the other woman he married.
