I'd like to shout out to my home at heart Alaska

And all my DU friends that live there. I've lived in and out of Alaska for 15 years. So I know the dangers and repercussions of earthquakes, especially during winter & tsunami scare.

I hope all of yall are, warm, and safe and sound.

For being well prepared. The number of collapsed buildings seems to be zero, as is the number of deaths.

Alaskans seem to be pretty intelligent. They know there will be earthquakes, so they build to be prepared for them, and they know what to do when they happen. They certainly do not appear to be a bunch of candy asses.

In all of the news reports, I did not see one person weeping uncontrollably and helplessly. People certainly were impressed by the earthquake, but everyone seemed to be taking it in stride. I don't know if living in that sort of climate makes people durable, or if only durable people go/stay there, but I like their style.
