(110,900 posts)I can't complain too much, the altitude that brings us snow in winter keeps us from turning into Phoenix or Las Vegas in summer, it's more temperate here.

(3,937 posts)I was driving Route 66 out of Albuquerque and as the rain started, the local radio station played "Riders on the Storm." Hope to make it back to NM someday. It was a very spiritual place for me.
we live just outside of Flagstaff, AZ, we don't get the suffocating heat of Phoenix and we get snow in winter.

Speaking of weather, it's unseasonably warm in Alaska. Yesterday it was warmer in Barrow, way up on the North Slope, than it was in most of the Lower 48. I'm ready for some snow.
