Last Week At CPAC.. Christie Whining About Obama.. This Week..

Daily Kos

Gov. Chris Christie has passed a regulation that blocks automakers from directly selling to consumers in New Jersey, requiring them to go through third-party car dealers instead.

As a direct result, Tesla—the electric car company that reduces our dependence on fossil fuels—must now close its two dealerships in the state.

New Jersey is the third state to kick out Tesla that way, the other two being Arizona and Texas. It is an intentional move on the part of Republican politicians to kill the electric car.

SIGN THE PETITION denouncing Gov. Christie for killing the electric car in New Jersey: http://wefb.it/124E66

I signed Electric Car!

This is one of them. Yet I don't see or hear much about this. Getting off of dependence on oil from anywhere should be a core value for Dems but it isn't. I guess the money is just too great to overcome. Citizen's United and the four horsemen on the SCOTUShave done this nation a great disservice.

we did hear this reported yesterday.... Seems bizarre considering this state has a wealthy class of residents who can easily buy this car. However it wouldn't surprise me that this was a move demanded from the PA/Jersey/NY car dealership dynasties that proliferate on both sides of the river(s).

So, Tesla has a different marketing approach. An approach that doesn't pay the GOP owners the required share?
Well ban them if they won't ante up. To hell that they may lead the way to a more efficient device.
To hell with progress. You will play by the GOP "free market" rules or you wont play at all!

Teapublican democracy. Will it be coming to you're state?
