DU EXCLUSIVE: EXPOSE OF HANNITY, BECK, AND LIMBAUGH FROM THEIR COLLEGE DAYS.

Sorry nothing, zip, nada.

None exist because none of these guys spent any time at college.

From their relevent wikipedia pages;

"Hannity dropped out of New York University and Adelphi University."

"According to his mother, "he (Limbaugh) flunked everything", and 'he just didn't seem interested in anything except radio'."

"In 1996, while working for a New Haven area radio station, Beck took a theology class at Yale University, with a written recommendation from Senator Joe Lieberman, a Yale alumnus who was a fan of Beck's show at the time.[28] Beck enrolled in an "Early Christology" course, but soon withdrew, marking the extent of his post-secondary education"

As individuals they did however participate in bartending (Hannity), multiple marriages (Limbaugh/Beck), illegal drug use (Limbaugh/Oxycotin/, Beck/various drugs/marijuana) and alcoholism (Beck).

Quite a juxtaposition between this:

and this:

No wonder they hate him so much. He makes them look so very very small.

Sean Hannity got his start in radio on UC Santa Barbara's KCSB in the late 1980s, where he got in trouble for promoting homophobia and disinformation about HIV and AIDS. I wrote about this in a 2003 Extra! profile of the then-Fox News show Hannity & Colmes:

After airing for less than a year, Hannity's weekly show was canceled in 1989, when KCSB management charged him with "discriminating against gays and lesbians" after airing two shows featuring the book The AIDS Coverup: The Real and Alarming Facts About AIDS (Independent, 6/22/89). Written by homophobic Christian-right activist Gene Antonio, the book crankily argued that AIDS could be spread by casual contact, including coughs, sneezes and mosquito bites. Antonio charged that the government, medical establishment and media covered up these truths in the service of "the homosexual movement."

When Antonio appeared by phone on one of the shows, Hannity and his guest repeatedly slurred gay men. At one point, according to the UCSB campus newspaper the Daily Nexus (5/25/89), Hannity declared: "Anyone listening to this show that believes homosexuality is a normal lifestyle has been brainwashed. It's very dangerous if we start accepting lower and lower forms of behavior as the normal." According to the campus paper, Antonio responded by calling gay men "a subculture of people engaged in deviant, twisted acts."

When a fellow KCSB broadcaster called the show to challenge the host and his guest, Hannity pointed out that the caller, a lesbian, had a child through artificial insemination, and Antonio dubbed the child a "turkey-baster baby." When the caller took issue with that "disgusting" remark, Hannity followed up with "I feel sorry for your child" (Independent, 6/22/89; KCSB, 4/4/89).

and then there are Sean's longstanding and close ties to a convicted neo-nazi terrorist who did 32 months in prison:

Granted; in this day and age it's going to take a degree of some sort to get a Trash Man's job seeing as how there won't be much else when all the other degreed people finish sending US jobs overseas. There are literally TONS of people though who've been perfectly successful and not only supported families, but provided for future generations without attending a single day of school past high school graduation.

I started teaching Vocational Education in CA with only a high school diploma. I taught days and went to Long Beach State four nights a week to get a degree in Vocational Education. I met people who couldn't teach their way out of a tissue bag much less a paper one. Some of them were CSULB professors (little "p" intentional).

Rachel Maddow would go after these clowns. The video from breitbart that hannity is so excited about, the one showing Obama 20 years ago, wow. There's nothing there! But what about Hannity himself, what was he doing back in the day? He was broadcasting a series of stories claiming that President Clinton and his wife ( a sitting President and First Lady and the now Secretary Of State ) were cocaine dealers and murderers and that they also killed Vince Foster none of which was true of course but exposing the past lies of Limbaugh and Hannity on this would show young people just how baseless these people are. I mean a young person today who may think that hannity is out there bravely telling truth to power may just realize otherwise if he knew of Hannity's radical past.

The official GOP line is that only snobs are educated. The irony is glaring.

Without indoctrination to basic sciences, one can easily believe the earth is six thousand years old. One can cling to the notion that the amount of contraception required is proportional to the frequency of intercourse performed. One can propose extremely generous tax breaks and concurrently complain that the federal deficit is our biggest problem.

These folks are dumber than a box of rocks which gives us a clue to the intellectual capacity of their followers. An intellectual like George Will can't compete with this insanity and it is driving him crazy. The GOP is purging intellectuals at an alarming (for them) rate.

The sheep who hang on Limbaugh and Hannity's every word certainly won't mind that they never went to college. It means that they're "regular joes" (good) rather than "pointy-headed intellectuals" (bad). But given their breathtaking double standards, do you really think they wouldn't simply ignore it if their idols had got PhDs from Harvard? They wouldn't even bother to make an excuse for why "that's different". They'd just never mention it and, if challenged, change the subject and turn up the volume like they always do.

You know who the intern was on his show at the time? You guessed it - Glenn Beck, and Bean commented that he was as big of a douche then as he is now.

Obviously higher education didn't do Rick Santorum any good, so you can still go to college and be very, very small in later life.

Rick Santorum's wikipedia page

Higher education
In an interview with Glenn Beck, Santorum said, “I understand why Barack Obama wants to send every kid to college, because of their indoctrination mills, absolutely … The indoctrination that is going on at the university level is a harm to our country.” He added “62 percent of kids who go into college with a faith commitment leave without it." Santorum did not provide a source for that figure.

39% of all statistics are just made up.

Serial liars know that truth has no purpose in their dialog. It never helps them and it's irrelevant. Once they put a statement out into the public air, it becomes a fact for thousands who hear it.

scholars and pundits of history, sociology, politics and other subjects that are dealt with at college and they tried but failed to even pass the rudiment levels of introductory classes and then go out and remythologize those subjects with a complete disregard for any of the established peer review work, they just make shit up and that's why they couldn't cut it in college. Way to go to completely miss the obvious point though.

Someone can be true scholars of all of those things and not go to college. Someone can get an advanced degree from a prestigious school and be completely ignorant of most things involving history, sociology and politics (certainly depending on their major). I have no doubt your INTENTION was to suggest that these people portray themselves as scholars but didn't actually pursue any formal schooling in these subjects. That's not what I took from your post at all. Here's what I got from it. These guys didn't even get through college and Obama is very educated. That's why they hate him, because they're either jealous or not smart enough to know better.

Personally, I don't their education (or lack thereof) has a single thing to do with why they hate Obama.

The context of the discussion is that Republicans have a strong anti-intellectual bias.

This whole discussion and my OP didn't start out because we are BRAGGING about academic success but because they produced a tape of the President at Harvard and are trying to make the point that there is something sinister about the President's time at Harvard as shown in that tape.

This is a recurrent theme and Santorum made it explicit again last week when he made his snob comment.

I didn't randomly make the point that a lot of their main commentators were college failures, I was responding to their constant anti-intellectual rant.

There are many reasons that a lot of them hate colleges, hate people who are successful in academia, hate people who have ideas based on research. One of the reasons is that you will find that many many many of them failed at college or like Palin struggled and just barely got through.

Your "I don't know why anyone would even listen to the opinions of people who haven't been to college . . .

There's lots of reasons why these guys are full of shit, and not going to college has nothing to do with it"

completely missed the point. There are indeed many reasons that they are full of shit. I wasn't commenting on why they were full of shit, I was commenting on why they are so consistently against anything that has to do with Higher Education in this country. The reason is that most of them did not succeed when they went to college, but failed miserably and it is a lingering source of rage and embarassment to them.
