"designing healthy communities"

Last edited Sun Feb 19, 2012, 05:57 PM - Edit history (2)

right now, I am watching a four-part series on designing healthier communities--the first segment was talking about how suburban sprawl and the worship of the automobile is wreaking havoc with our health, and how "retrofitting suburbia" can help.

the current episode is called "rebuilding places of the heart", talking about communities--and I keep thinking about my particular community, which does indeed worship the car, and does not talk about quality of life, or places of the heart--here in fundieville, those concepts are completely unfamiliar.

I didn't find a workable link with the url you provided.

Is there another?

I am very focused on creating more compassionate, cooperative, healthier communities on all levels, and am incorporating that premise at Wishadoo.

I invite anyone else interested to join us there.

if you can watch the whole series--it is something I think you will find very interesting. I am writing a letter to the morans running this fundie community, suggesting that they get their heads out of their butts and start paying attention.

one of the things I loved in the second episode was referring to viable communities as "places of the heart"
