24. I am both PROUD and ASHAMED of my poem

Proud because it is a fairly well crafted expression of how I feel;

Ashamed that I would wish for such a cruel death for any human being.

But I keep posting it here because whenever GW Bush rears his ugly head AND ESPECIALLY when history is being rewritten to whitewash his presidency, the old RAGE wells up with the injustice of him still being a free man after commiting such monstrous crimes and I have to give expression to that rage.

And I know that many kindred spirits here at DU feel the same way.

I retire all my old bumper stickers to the top of my waste wheeler garbage can. That's where my "Impeach Bush Torture Cheney" now lives. It gives the neighbors who walk their dogs on garbage day either a chuckle, if they agree, or heartburn, if they don't.

21. Being an active "peace person," Cheney is only the second person in

the past century that I truly would agree to see tortured. The first would be Hitler, of course, but he would be only representative of a number of despots in recent years. Cheney is unique in being proudly "up front" regarding his truly despotic beliefs. His handling of the 2000 Republican presidential ticket
was masterful in an evil way. Hopefully he's functioning on his last (physical) heart. No question of his having one in any other sense.

Some people--thankfully very few--are so evil, so sick and so twisted, that I can't even recognize them as members of the same species. And even that is an inadequate description, because I think of all creatures, all species, as perfect in their own way.

But some--all human--must be from a different dimension...Cheney is one. May he rot.

31. A big Amen! It's often quoted that only humans kill their own. Not true, of course.

Other animals kill within their species for various natural and survival reasons. What is truly scary about Cheney is that his 'evil attitude" seems outright obvious to him, so superior that he can be totally up front to the rest of us sheep.
