I will drop my 30 year subscription to the Trib immediately if these SOB's buy it.

What still confuses me about their interest is that they have generally tried to fly under the radar, be the richest men you never heard of. I don't understand why after all this time they would want the attention that publishing a major newspaper would bring them.

and it's only a guess.

Is that they believe they have passed the tipping point and it no longer matters who knows they are behind the ads and the think tanks and the "grass roots" (astroturf) movements...because that's all the low information (by design) voters will hear anyway.

His BH Media company has been buying up a few papers lately... including our local Greensboro News & Record. Unlike the Koch brothers, Mr. Buffett is very much open. I have no idea who the next Warren Buffett will be but I sincerely hope his companies continue with his traditions.
