When my daughter was 8 or so she was involved in rhythmic gym - balls, hoops, ribbons and all that. It's lovely.

.....and I'm one of those people that never really thought of rhythmic gymnastics as "real" gymnastics.

One commenter was from her country (Bulgaria) and said this was from 2008, and she took 2nd place in this event. So what more did the winner do--pass the ball back and forth through the dimension of time while she performed?

I was a competative gymnast as a kid so I got to watch these girls train all the time.

They use a special rubber ball in rhythmic gymnastics.

This is as good as any regular gymnastics floor exercise - different, but just as good.

Really amazing!!

I think most, if not all, gymnasts have Ehlers-Danlos syndrome to some extent. That flexibility is just abnormal, lol.
