All votes to be hand counted. I'm curious if this is a big issue?
Do poll watchers from the campaigns need to be deployed for the hand count?
I assume the hand count won't take much effort as maybe 15% will turn out to vote in the special election primary - and that's probably a generous guess.
I would like my ballot counted though.
I voted for Markey although I expect Lynch to crush my area. I have no idea who will win the Republican primary in my area but I read that Sullivan is the big favorite to win the state wide race.

(11,304 posts)count the votes together. At least I hope so. Markey is a good man.

Gabriel Gomez will likely win, but that teabagger Michael Sullivan will stir the fruitcake pot. My town has a festering knot of teabagger-types.

There's a big teabagger house I drive by every day and they have a Sullivan sign up. Makes sense.
I just assumed Sullivan would be a party choice (he or Winslow).

(11,076 posts)Your vote is safer on paper. At least they can recount if need be.
