Oh, I am being attacked from the Left (FIRST TIME EVER!!!) about President Obama and the Patriot Act

He was not supposed to enact the Patriot Act, etc.

I am stunned. Holy cow! (That a leftie is attacking me on FB. Aside: she is my cousin and we are on opposite sides of a family feud, but still love each other. I think this taints everything though)

Venting...googling...learning...growing.

all one has to do is look at the red state/blue state divide, at the recent history of presidential elections and at the issues that starkly divide Americans.

I realize that the silly 80-20 nonsense is the newest bit of of nonsense you've seized upon but there isn't a single political analyst or historian who would agree with you.

Every political analyst has an angle, makes their living keeping it 50-50.

I am tired of the tired meme.

Women will lead the nation to fully implement the change.

Like Jack Gilford in the old "Kick the can", those that don't kick the can, will remain moaning the fact that they didn't. (i.e.-their not needed. People have the power and people are tired of fighting.

And once it is, then all the soundbytes will disappear, and the nation will live in peace and harmony.

Because Boston made it clear, and people here and there and everywhere are forgetting the important point of the late 1960s protest-

LOVE and togetherness.
And if you look back, people with long hair and sideburns, and bellbottoms-they came from all sides.

And it was probably 70-30 at that time.

(and it could have been electorally too, but innerfracture made it impossible, however that was not the divide.)

One statistic after another shows that the vast majority of the republican party is NOT thrilled with the tea party. They got the tea party, but that is not what they want.
Whereas the statistics show, the democratic party is very happy happy with Barack Obama.
90% of his biggest voters, combined with the vast majority of the nation's women voters wanting a woman President(Hillary in the privacy of their voting booth), and all the other minorities and religions and Gays

80-20

5 from the left, 15 from the right=20

everyone else=80.

and remember when its too late for the 20, Lincoln needed the other party, LBJ needed the other party, and the founding fathers needed to compromise, as did FDR.

out with the 20
in with the 80

(and I am not talking Senate/house at this point in name, but in voting.

you haven't been right about anything so far. Your 80/20 crap is just that, crap.
The electorate is much more closely divided than your silly 80/20, all one has to do is look at the red/blue state divide and know that you are wrong.

but Ron Paul is a proud member of the John Birch Society, and in his world, Barack Obama could never have been President. So the far left has circled to combine with the far right against 80% of America, and 95% of the democratic party.

A good president doesn't abuse things. Barack Obama hasn't on any day abused anything.
A bad president does nothing but abuse things.

Ron and Rand Paul would abuse the constitution every day of the year like they always have done in congress.
But just today Ron Paul said something like the police in Boston were worse than the event on Patriots day itself. But of course, Ron Paul has been advocating for things like that his entire career I guess.

he lied about that. She called him a liar. She also used CISPA as an impetus to call him a liar, but since it's tabled AND he threatened to veto, and I could prove those things, we were left with the shitty Patriot Act thing.

You know, the one that gave the telecom companies retroactive immunity for illegally spying on Americans.

He promised to vote against it but then voted for it.
