Economic Terrorism.

Am I misusing the word terrorism? I don't think so.

In the collapsed sweatshop in Bangladesh, 304 bodies have been recovered, a number that is sure to rise as this day wears on. Close to a 1,000 are unaccounted for.

So why consider this terrorism? Because in Bangladesh, those trying to organize workers in this industry, are routinely, harassed, fired, tortured and even killed. The purpose of that is to terrorize the workers.

Hundreds of lives lost for what? To enrich the owners of the factories who wield a disproportionate amount of power in Bangladesh, to line the pockets of CEOs in the U.S. and Europe and provide shoppers with cute tees and other cheap clothes.
