"some degree of varying confidence"?

Hagel says intelligence points to some degree of varying confidence that Syria has used chemical weapons.

I googled a little but don't want to link to dubious news sources. I heard the guy say it on Maddow. Anyone know how we can keep the war drums from drowning out sanity?

I'd rather we did not go into another war because of 'maybe'. whttevrr Apr 2013 #2

the evidence is all that solid. Hope we don't get sucked into a no-fly zone or something based on info that's less than conclusive. Actually, I don't want us to get sucked in at all. I might support intervention if chem weapons are used on a large scale, and the rest of the world agrees it's unacceptable and pitches in on the intervention-that's about it. It's not our war.
