The Ed Show will premiere on Saturday, May 11th at 5pm ET

When MSNBC decided to replace Ed Schultz with Chris Hayes in the 8pm weeknight time slot, there was some speculation on Mediaite on elsewhere about whether Schultz’s supposed weekend show would actually materialize.

Now, MSNBC has set a start date for the new weekend version of The Ed Show, which will premiere on May 11th at 5pm ET. Schultz made the announcement himself on Twitter, indicating his excitement to “get back to work.”

May 11th will also mark the premiere of Karen Finney‘s new show, which will air directly before Schultz’s show from 4-5pm ET.
