You know who I feel worst for today?

President Carter.

President Obama's there because he's the sitting president, I think that President Clinton will enjoy it for the pageantry of it all, but I honestly think President Carter would rather be having a colonoscopy than having to sit at the podium for George W. Bush.

But the media would certainly have a fit about it, and then drudge up old misconceptions about his legacy in the process.

He knew or should have known that by accepting it, his life would never again be truly his own, that he would be, on occasion, dictated to by protocol.

This is one of those times.

I don't feel sorry for the current president or any of the living presidents.

They made their choices.

Apparently they have no moral compass when it comes to butt kissing of U.S. presidents.

I would have been proud if any one of them had not attended.

This is a sickening charade.
