(10,559 posts)They had an interview with Laura Bush (ex-librarian).
To be honest, it sounds like an amazing place; she was very matter-of-fact about some of the exhibits, which actually sounded interesting.
She mentioned one in particular - four "decision points" - 9/11, Invading Iraq, Hurricane Katrina and Economic Collapse - where the visitor gets to see the information Junior had from different sources, then make a "multiple choice" decision as if they were "President", followed by a video from Junior explaining why he made the decision he did. I have to admit to some curiosity about that - *we* appear to know so much more than he did...I want to see how they kept him in a bubble of ignorance and stupidity. Apparently the "names" of the advisors are also there, along with their input (and the briefings he was given by the various agencies).
Hmm. Still hate him with a fiery passion.

(6,278 posts)No president can be kept in the dark without his knowledge and consent. It's a recurring theme with W and all his cronies - don't tell us the truth, tell us what will bolster the decisions we've already made.
Now he reaps the added benefit that, having solicited propaganda, we cut him a break for getting the exact bad advice he asked for? I don't think so!
An honest president will replace toadies with honest analysts if they truly want sound advice. Bad information is still his fault, when it's a recurring theme (rather than an anomalous event). He owns his bad decisions.

(8,514 posts)That POS knew EXACTLY what he was doing. He did it for one purpose: GREED. He and his buddies are so much richer for his actions.
Follow the money.
As for Laura, I can't stand her, either. She's a murderer, just like her husband.
I don't see a bright future for the library either. Karma's a bitch, you know?
