Would this work? The government allocates funds for the medical bills, hospital bills, rehab bills, prosthetics and other equipment, lost wages, caregivers, etc., for those wounded in Boston. Just like the government allocates funds for disaster relief.
Thoughts?

(2,805 posts)And am really surprised that there was not an action or declaration the first days.
My guess is because there was so little property damage that the Feds don't feel it is their responsibility to help. Interesting that there was an immediate charity fund set up by State/Local officials but no state sponsored help. I think it was definitely a calculation that they didn't want to set a precedent to help people when no property was involved. Or maybe I am being too cynical.

(2,805 posts)And it appears that federal funds for 9/11 was a "one of a kind" situation. Probably to ensure that the airlines wouldn't have thousands of law suits.
There was no real victim assistance for the Oklahoma Federal Building bombing which was also deemed terrorism (so it is not a matter of whether the term terrorism is used).
